A NEW LOOK

A NEW BLOG

I

f you’ve followed Budweiser Budvar for a while, you may have noticed a few changes around here. We’ve been working tirelessly behind the scenes to bring you an overhaul of our website, a spruce-up of our packaging (coming soon) and a brand new e-shop! All of this to create a Czech drinking experience like no other. Now, we can proudly say, welcome, to the Republic of Beer!

The core driving force behind this change was to bring drinkers even closer to the Czech Republic through the medium of beer and its unique place within our culture! Over the coming months, together we will be exploring the traditions, history and people that make our beer culture one of the best in the world.

One way that we’re going to delve into these fascinating topics is through our new blog series. As this is a special evolutionary moment in the history of Budweiser Budvar, we enlisted the help of a very special individual to bring these stories to life. It gives us great pleasure to announce that the esteemed beer & wine writer and friend of the brewery, Jonny Tyson, will be channelling his exquisite penmanship to write our blog series!

Following a relocation to Vancouver, Canada, he ran a craft beer bar and restaurant, worked as a specialist beer retailer and buyer as well as writing articles for a Canadian health and lifestyle magazine on beer and wine.

Since returning to the UK, he co-designed and ran the beer education programme in Europe for Goose Island, Blue Point, Leffe and Bosteels as well as hosting many beer events and tastings.
